Modification of Certificate of Incorporation

For this the business must check the availability of the new name, conduct an EGM, pass a special resolution and apply to the Registrar for approval of the new name under Rule 29 of the Companies (Incorporation) Rules 2014. After getting approval from the Registrar a new certificate of incorporation will be issued.In case of modification in the name of the company, the Certificate of incorporation will not be modified. The address mentioned on the certificate of incorporation is on the date of incorporation and hence no changes can be made retrospectively.
